Biography

My career objective is to enter research in the field of crop breeding and physiology and my research interests are to: • Quantify the genetic gains in yield potential progress in field crops, quantify the changes in physiological traits associated with this genetic progress and identify the physiological basis of these changes. • Identification of yield limiting factors in field crops and their improvement through physiological enhancements. • Identification of physiological basis for improved tolerance to abiotic stresses (drought and heat) in field crop plants.
